Sometimes, it's just easier to talk than to type! Live Feedback gives you access to me via video or phone call so we can discuss in more depth and nuance your project and any written edits we have completed. This can work well paired with your Manuscript Evaluation or any developmental-type feedback that you may have more questions about after reviewing.
This is a great service for writers who prefer more support or want to have a conversation about their ideas or about my edits, since we can talk in much greater detail in a live conversation. It is also a great option for someone seeking urgent feedback, whether you are stuck and can't get past some roadblock, or you have an amazing new idea and need someone to talk it over with to see how it fits in the overall scheme of your project.
There are two options for Live Feedback: "I'm Stuck!" for urgent needs is great when you just need to talk something out really quick before getting back to work. "Feedback Review" is an opportunity to chat about your edits and how to best incorporate them into your writing.
I'm available! Contact me to schedule a video or phone call today! "I'm Stuck" appointments are scheduled within 24 hours of submission.
This 30-minute urgent call could be exactly what you need to get refocused and back to being productive! A quick conversation can help you talk through fitting in new ideas, working through writers block or a particularly sticky spot, or hatch a brilliant plan in the making! Sometimes, we just need a sounding board to affirm our direction or give us a fresh perspective. Our end goal by the end of 30 minutes is to shake out all the kinks and get creative juices flowing so you can jump straight back into your project with renewed vision and excitement!
After receiving your contact form, I will be in touch as soon as possible to schedule our call within 24 hours of your first contact.
Anyone who needs to talk about their writing right now! You can be at any place in your current project, and you don't even need a draft. This may also be appropriate if you have a new scene or character you are trying out based on our edits and want immediate feedback before committing.
Writers wanting to discuss previous edits at-length; process long-term plans, updates, or revisions; or brush up on weak skills or writing techniques. We can cover any of that in a "Feedback Review" session!
Before we chat, you'll send me any relevant materials or writing segments so I can familiarize myself ahead of time and have some thoughts ready. With laser-point precision, we will investigate where you are hung up and make a clear path for pushing past.
After you receive written feedback, either from Progressive Editing or Classic Editing, you may have more questions that we need to talk about. If you have an ongoing project in Progressive Editing, it is also helpful to periodically chat to check your progress and alignment to your goals or to discuss any major revisions you have been making in more detail. If you have had Classic Editing performed and you still have questions, this is a great way to discuss them, as well. We want to end the call having a clear plan for your project moving forward, clarify any questions or discuss new thoughts you have based on the edits, and work out any major issues standing in your way of finishing your draft.
Established clients who have undergone a written form of editing service and want more discussion. This can work for a project in any phase or paired with any service. It's also a great opportunity for writers in "The First Draft" who are prewriting and formulating ideas, since we can bounce around a lot of information quickly in a conversation.
Writers wanting a brief check-in or wanting their manuscript edited. (See "I'm Stuck!" or editing service options for better fits!) This is also not an opportunity to discuss billing or policy questions, though brief discussions of our standing agreement may occur as needed to check your project's progress against your goals and milestones.
Prior to our conversation, we'll set the agenda so we can both have some thoughts ready. If there is any new materials or manuscript pieces you'd like to discuss specifically, you'll send me those ahead of time so I can prepare. Like a live Developmental Edit, "Feedback Review" is a very detailed discussion where we can dig into the heart of your writing.
